Multiplayer FIFA 18 Balkans Cup Official Tournament Rules:


Multiplayer FIFA 18 Balkans Cup (“MBC” or “Competition”) is organized by Multiplayer (“Organizer”). Any third party providing goods, services and/or financial support for this Competition, that is deemed a partner by the Organizer is considered a “Sponsor”. MBC is a video game competition conducted using EA SPORTS FIFA 18 Ultimate Team mode (“FIFA 18”) for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles (“Supported Platforms”). The MBC will have a separate Competition for each Supported Platform (“Xbox Division” and “PlayStation Division” or “Divisions”). Participants must register at to be considered for eligibility for the Competition. Participants who meet the eligibility requirements in the Player Eligibility section below (individually a “Player” or “Competitor” or “Participant”) must also (1) own or have access to FIFA 18 on Xbox One or PlayStation 4; (2) have a valid Gamertag or PSN ID; (3) have agreed to EA’s Privacy and Cookie Policy and User Agreement. Each player who registers for the tournament, clearly agrees that personal data will be shared by the Organizer for sponsorship or third parties for commercial purposes.


This competition will be play using FUT Friendly Seasons. Competition Stages:
A. Online Qualifiers
B. Group Stages and Quarter Finals
C. Semi Finals and Grand Finals (Live Event)
Four the Quarter Finals stage and onwards the Two Leg Single Elimination will follow these rules (win 3 points, draw 1 point, loss zero points): If over two matches one side dominates with 4 points or more that Competitor goes through If each side gets the same amount of points, the Competitor with the higher average (goals scored minus goals conceded) goes through. If each side gets the same amount of points, the Competitor that has scored a higher number of goals away from home goes through (the away goals rule is active) if after two matches both sides are tied in points, goal difference and away goals then the players play sequential matches until one Competitor scores. That competitor to score first goes through (golden goal rule).
For each supported platforms there will be 256 participants in Online Qualifiers. Once the entries are over, the first 256 players with the highest FIFA achievement and playing time will be selected. Online Qualifiers will be played between 14-18 April 2018. When Online Qualifiers are over, top 3 players at PS4 and top 12 players at XB1 will reach to Group Stage (The organizer holds the right to change the number of slots that the online qualifier feeds into the group stage for the Supported Platforms).
This phase will be played offline in Turkey (again with your own FUT team and account). For each supported platform there will be 16 participants in the Group Stage. There will be 4 groups on each supported platform and there will be 4 players in each group. Participants will play one match with each of their opponents in their group (3 matches per participant). After all matches are over, top 2 players in each group will move on to the Quarter Finals. In the Quarter Final phase, the cross-matching system will be used. Winner of Group A will play with Runner-up of Group C, Winner of Group C will play with Runner-up of Group A, Winner of Group B will play with Runner-up of Group D, Winner of Group D will play with Runner-up Group B for each supported platforms. Players will play with Two Leg Single Elimination system at Quarter Finals. Quarter Finals winners will reach the Semi Finals.
This phase will played at a Live Event in Turkey. Winners of Quarter Finals will play Semi-Finals after draw. Players will play with Two Leg Single Elimination system at Semi Finals. Winner of Semi-Finals will make it through to the Grand Finals. Grand Finals will be played with Two Leg Single Elimination system for supported platforms. Winners of Grand Finals will get FIFA 18 Global Series PlayOff slots and $2000.


3.1 The registration for the tournament will be held until 9th of April 2018 23:59 Turkish Local Time and will be hosted at
3.2a All participants have to be either Turkish, Greek, Romanian or Bulgarian citizens. Exceptions to this rule will be covered in 3.2b. Participants may be required to provide proof of residency to determine their eligibility in the MBC. All Participants that make it through to the Group stage will be required to sign and return a Declaration of Eligibility to Travel, as well as to certify their residency by providing two forms of identification or proof of residency, such as: Government-Issued Documentation: Identification such as a passport, driver’s license, identification card, or work visa with a name and address. Utility Bill: Recent invoice from a utility (energy, telephone, or cable) company with a name and address. Failure to provide these documents, forgery, fraudulent representation may result in withdrawal of rights in the group stage at the sole discretion of the Organizer’s. In any case where the Organizer has already spent money on logistics and travel for that Participant, he/she will be responsible of covering the damage caused. The Organizer reserves the right for legal action.
3.2b Participants that are not citizens of the above countries may also be eligible given that they fulfill specific requirements set by the organizer such as but not limited to:
- being a contracted professional player of a Turkish club
- Travel & Accomodation for the player not being covered by the organizer
The organizer holds the right to revoke this eligibility right at any time, regardless of the stage of the tournament as per 5.2 and reserves the right to make furthermore changes to it, together with any and all rules as per 9.2.
3.3 Players must be at least 16 years old and at least the minimum age needed to have a full (not underage) EA account in their given territory to be eligible for the MBC. All Players under the age of 18 who attend Live Events must have Player’s parent, legal guardian, or parents/guardians (as required by law) accompany them and consent to the rules on their behalf.
3.4 Employees of Electronic Arts Inc. and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, advertising, promotion and publicity agencies (“Sponsor and its agents”), FIFA and the immediate family members or persons living in the same household of such employee are not eligible to participate in the Competition.


4.1 Players shall not receive coaching during a tournament match. Communications of any kind, audible or visible, between a player and a coach may be construed as coaching.
4.2 Players are not allowed to plug any devices, other than controllers, into any console.
4.3 All videogame consoles, televisions and headsets are supplied by organizer (only applicable for the offline part of the tournament, for the online qualifier stage, the participant will use his/her own console, display, headset and various other equipment)
4.4 Competitors may provide their own controller so long as the controller does not provide an unfair competitive advantage to the competitor, does not interfere with the operations of the game or tournament, does not require any special configuration, cabling or adapters to function and is designed to work natively on the console the competitor competes on. The Organizer may, at its sole discretion, disallow any controller and require the competitor to use an approved controller.
4.5 Any action designed to disrupt the opposing Player's view of the field or ability to select controlled Players is prohibited.
4.6 At each tournament, players will need to be available throughout the day to play their matches. Players will be given a reasonable warning that they will need to be ready to play, and for the offline stages players leaving the location of the event will be responsible for returning in time for their matches.
4.7 Players not present at the designated start time for any match will be disqualified, and their opponent shall be granted a 3-0 score.
4.8 In online qualifiers, each player need to record own games. If there is an any problem we can ask this record for solve this problem.
4.9 Participants in the online elimination phase must play their match at the specified time and share their scores at the given discord. If the participant is not at the discord 15 minutes before the match time, they may be disqualified.
Solely for the Offline Stages: 4.10 Players will be shown their designated station, shall set up the game, and begin play only when instructed to do so by a tournament official.
4.11 Each Player will have 3 minutes to configure controls, adjust line-ups and settings. Custom lineups cannot be used, nor can anything else that is not available in the in-game pause menu.
4.12 In all situations possible, tournament referees will monitor the game situation so that it may be restored in the event of game interruptions.
Example: A player disconnects at the 50th The score of the game was 2-1. Organizer instructs the game to resume in 1st half with the implied score to be 2-1 and the implied half to be the 2nd. The competitors will play until halftime to determine the winner.
4.13 If a Player has an issue that they feel is creating an unfair advantage for the opponent, they must pause the game, (or request their opponent pause the game) and bring the issue to the attention of the referee. The referee will address the issue, if they feel the referee hasn’t addressed the issue properly, they may request the head referee also address the issue. Rulings by the head referee and tournament Organizer are binding.
4.14 If a game interruption is caused by outside circumstances such as a machine error or loss of power, the game shall be continued from a point determined by the Organizer.
4.15 Referees will be on-site to monitor all game play. Referees will begin play and will record scores for each game.
4.16 Referees will inform players when to begin play before kick-off and after half-time.
4.17 In offline stages, player can not share any comment, social media post, any results about competition and media and photos with out organizer permission.
4.18 Every user who submits the apply declares that he has read, understood and accepted these rules. Regarding the players who participate in the tornament, EA and the organizer have the right to share all contents with third party companies without your permission and to use them in social media for 5 years.


5.1 Competitor must conduct themselves in a reasonable manner, maintaining an appropriate demeanor to spectators, members of the press, tournament administrators, and to other Players. These requirements apply to both offline and online, including with respect to social media conduct and activity on live streams. All Players are expected to adhere to these standards of sportsmanship and the EA Rules of Conduct, available at at all times, including when not participating in EA sanctioned events. Behaviors prohibited by the EA Rules of Conduct include, but not limited to:
5.2 Violating any law, rule or regulation, as determined by EA in its sole discretion;
5.3 Using any software or program that damages, interferes with or disrupts an EA Service or another's computer or property;
5.4 Interfering with or disrupting another player's use of an EA Service.
5.5 Harassing, threatening, bullying, repeatedly sending unwanted messages or making personal attacks or statements about race, sexual orientation, religion, heritage, etc. Hate speech is not tolerated;
5.6 Publishing, posting, uploading distributing content, or organizing/participating in any activity, group or guild that EA (acting reasonably and objectively) determines is inappropriate, abusive, hateful, harassing, profane, defamatory, threatening, hateful, obscene, sexually explicit, infringing, privacy-invasive, vulgar, offensive, indecent or unlawful;
5.7 Using exploits, cheats, undocumented features, design errors or problems in an EA Service;
5.8 Engaging in any other activity that significantly disturbs the peaceful, fair and respectful gaming environment of an EA Service; or Promoting, encouraging or taking part in any prohibited activity described above.
5.9 Selling, buying, trading or otherwise transferring or offering to transfer your EA Account, any personal access to EA Services, or any EA Content associated with your EA Account, including EA Virtual Currency and other Entitlements, either within an EA Service or on a third party website, or in connection with any out-of-game transaction, unless expressly authorized by EA;
5.10 Every Competitor is asked to maintain an adequate level of respect with the other Competitors and the referees. Threatening behavior towards the referees and the other Competitors will not be tolerated. Incidents and punishment will be identified at the sole discretion of the tournament administrators. Competitors must abide by the instructions made by the tournament administrators at all times. All Competitors must follow Organizers directions. Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any Competitor from the Competition at any level, any time, and for any reason.
5.11 Players must conduct themselves in a reasonable manner, maintaining an appropriate demeanor to spectators, members of the press, tournament administrators, and to other Players. These requirements apply to both offline and online, including with respect to social media conduct. All players are expected to adhere to the standards of good sportsmanship at all times.
5.12 Players will refrain from using vulgar or offensive language.
5.13 Abusive behavior, including harassment and threats is prohibited.
5.14 Physical abuse, fighting or any threatening action or threatening language, directed at any Player, spectator, official or any other person is prohibited.
5.15 Damage and/or abuse to game consoles, controllers, or any tournament equipment is prohibited.
5.16 Any action that interferes with play of a game, including but not limited to purposely breaking a game station, interfering with power, and abuse of in-game pausing, is prohibited and can result in match forfeiture and/or disqualification from the competition
5.17 Gambling, including betting on the outcome of games, is prohibited.
5.18 All Players must not disclose any confidential information provided by EA or any of its affiliates to any other people or groups of people, including via social media.
5.19 No Players may accept any gifts, rewards, or compensation for services that are promised to be rendered in connection with competing in the FGS. The only exception to this rule is for players with sponsors who are paying them based on their performance.
5.20 All Players must be available for any post-tournament awards ceremonies, interviews, and the entirety of the live event and any promotional activities reasonably requested by EA. A Player who if having been invited by EA fails to attend such ceremonies shall forfeit the right to any award that may be granted, or the benefit that may accompany such award.
5.21 Collusion is defined as any agreement among two or more Players to disadvantage other Players in the Competition. Collusion between Players is strictly prohibited. Any Players determined by EA at any phase of the FIFA 18 Global Series to be engaging in Collusion will be removed from the competition, be forced to return any compensation and prizes they’ve received from Live Events, and may have their FIFA 18 account suspended. Examples of collusion include, but are not limited to:
Intentionally losing a match for any reason, either during Online Qualification or at Live Events.
Playing on behalf of another competitor, including using a secondary account, to aid them in Online Qualification or Live Events.
Soft play, defined as a player not trying their hardest in an attempt to allow an opponent to run up the score and gain a Goal Differential advantage. Agreeing to split prize money.
Allowing an opponent to score more or less goals than they normally would in order to impact the Goal Differential tiebreaker.
Player use of alcohol or drugs is prohibited on the premises of, or during the attendance of, Live Events for the duration of the event.
Players must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while participating.
Smoking, including the use of eCigarettes and vaporizers, is prohibited at all Live Events except in designated areas.
5.22 Players are required to wear a uniform, either provided by EA or from an approved ad sponsor at Live Events, and all Players shall upon request wear their provided or approved uniform.
Any Player who wishes to wear apparel from an ad sponsor must submit a written request to Organizer at least two weeks before the Live Event takes place. The Organizer has the right to grant permission or deny these requests at its sole discretion. More details about Player Sponsorship can be found in Player Sponsorship section below. Players must wear attire appropriate to the circumstances and location at which an event is taking place. This includes any and all events that Players attend in association with the FUT Champions Cups or Playoffs. Players shall not wear, carry or bear any items of a political nature, or which in EA's opinion reflect unfavorably upon EA, its partners, or the Competition. Players shall not carry out any promotional activity in connection with the Competition unless otherwise approved in writing by EA.


Violation of any part of these Official Rules will, at Organizer’s election, result in (a) sanction(s) and/or (b) loss of winner status. All Players must follow Organizer’s directions. All decisions and rulings of Organizer are final and binding. Organizer reserves the right to sanction any Player in competition at any level, at any time for any reason. Sanctions may include, in no particular order, the following:
Forfeiture of single match
Forfeiture of all matches
Loss of awards (including prize money and paid travel expenses)
Disqualification from the Multiplayer FIFA 18 Balkans Cup
Organizer also has the right to publicly announce penalties that have been levied on Players. Players who have been penalized by Organizer hereby waive any right of legal action against the Organizer, the FIFA 18 Global Series and Electronic Arts, and/or any of its affiliates.


Players in the FIFA 18 Global Series have the ability to acquire ad sponsors. Ad Sponsorship acquisition is limited, however, to exclude certain categories and industries. If the ad sponsor falls under the below limited categories, then the ad sponsorship may not be displayed by the Player in conjunction with or during the FIFA 18 Global Series. EA reserves the right to update the below list at any time. The following is a nonexclusive list of prohibited ad sponsors:
Gambling or gambling websites
Alcohol, Tobacco, and/or Non-“over-the-counter” Drugs
FIFA Ultimate Team Coin promoting or selling websites or companies
Firearms or any type of weapons
Pornographic or adult material
Products or services from direct competitors of EA, its partners, and its other subsidiary brands
Direct competitors of FIFA’s Official Marketing Partners
The Organizer reserves the right to prohibit any third party at their sole discretion. Any Participant that has made it to the Group Stage and that does not have limitations on sponsorships (such as current club or esports team jerseys or sponsorship) will have to wear the official Tournament Jersey with its sponsorships intact should the Organizer provide such attire.


This tournament main mode is FIFA Ultimate Team mode. However, if the FUT service is interrupted during the tournament, the tournament organizer has the right to change the format.


Each Live Event will have two separate divisions: the Xbox One Division and PlayStation 4 Division. The following prizes for each FUT Cup Live Event will be distributed to the Players based on their finishing position/point of exit from the tournament as stated below:

1st Player: $2000
2nd Player: $1000
3rd – 4th Players: $500
5th-6th-7th-8th Players: $250

9.1 Prizes are not transferable. No substitution of Prizes for other goods and services is permitted, except Sponsor reserves the right to provide a substitute Prize of approximately equal value if the advertised prize is unavailable. All expenses not specified above, including, without limitation, all federal, state and local taxes, and international tariffs, are the sole responsibility of the individual Winner.

9.2 Potential winners will be required to complete and sign a Declaration of Eligibility and Release of Publicity and Liability, and at the end of the Live Event in order to claim the prize. If a potential winner fails to sign and/or return the Declaration of Eligibility, refuses the prize, or is ineligible to accept the prize, the potential winner forfeits the prize. If a winner is 16 or older, as required, but a minor in his or her state, country or providence of residence, winner’s parent, legal guardian, or parents/guardians (as required by law) will be required to sign all necessary documents upon verification of ID. Receiving a prize is contingent upon compliance with these Official Rules; all prizes claimed in accordance with these Official Rules will be awarded. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified, or the prize is forfeited for any reason, Sponsor will award the applicable prize, time permitting given the nature of the prize, to the next eligible runner-up Competitor. Only 3 alternate runner-up winners will be chosen, after which EA retains the discretion to donate the applicable prize to a charity of Sponsor choosing. Potential winners may be required to provide a shipping address to claim prize. Allow up to 3 months for delivery of prizes.
These rules are basically designed to ensure that the tournament progresses correctly and the tournament organizer reserves the right to make changes to any and all of the rules in case of unforeseen circumstances.
